Starting with October 15, Xiaomi’s latest flagship device, the Mi3, will become available for purchase with a Tegra 4 processor inside.

The smartphone was also announced with a Snapdragon 800 processor, though this model is said not to have entered production as of now.

The info comes from Xiaomi Co-Founder Liwan Jiang, who posted it on Sina Weibo, a recent article on GizChina reads.

He has also explained that the Tegra 4 version of the Mi3 will provide users with support for China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA 3G network.

Apparently, Xiaomi has decided to delay the release of the Snapdragon 800-based handset as it is currently waiting for the updated 8974AB model of the chip, which should provide users with increased graphical performance. No info on when this version of the device will arrive has been provided.
