Nvidia's Tegra 2 solution seems to have attracted a lot of mobile phone makers lately, and that LG won't be the only company to launch devices powered by the silicon. Companies like HTC, Motorola, or Asus should also be included on that list, even if nothing was detailed until now.

The Tegra 2 chip was reportedly selected for use both in smartphones and in tablet PCs, at least this is what a recent article on DigiTimes notes.

It seems that HTC indeed plans the launch of a tablet PC in the near future, and that it already placed orders for Tegra 2 chips at Nvidia, and the same applies to other companies too, including Asus and MSI.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what the HTC tablet PC is all about has emerged at the moment, though previous rumors suggested that we should expect for an Android device to be brought to the market.

Most probably, the slate would run under Android 3.0, and should become available for purchase sometime in the following few months.

No specific details on the Motorola device to pack the said Tegra 2 chip emerged either, though DigitTimes says we're looking at a smartphone here.

Previous rumors suggested that we're to expect a 10-inch slate from Motorola to be powered by Nvidia's solution, but no official confirmation emerged.

However, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang did say that Motorola is one of the major clients that Nvidia is working with, and there are great chances that we would see both new smartphones and slates brought to shelves with Tegra 2 chips inside.

Other companies are also expected to adopt Nvidia's Tegra 2 solution for their devices, including Samsung or other Android phone makers.

Moreover, some even suggest that the entire mobile chip market would soon be dominated by Nvidia's Tegra 2 solution, especially since the chip offers enhanced graphical performance levels.
