It was a very close call for Adam Lind, whom fans of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 must surely remember from the series: he is the father of teen mom Chelsea Houska’s daughter Aubree, and was a regular presence on season 2. He was pulled out of the wreckage of his car just in time, before it went up in flames.

TMZ reports that Lind was involved in a very serious car crash in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, which could have easily taken several lives. Lind crashed his Corvette in a Lincoln Town Car driven by an old woman.

Cops have not yet mentioned the cause of the accident, but all signs seem to point to speed being it.

“Law enforcement tells us Lind was driving his 2001Corvette Z06 really, really fast in Sioux Falls, SD when he collided with a Lincoln Town Car. Cops say the Lincoln was driven by an 87-year-old woman, who had a 94-year-old passenger,” TMZ reports.

It was only minutes before the Corvette exploded but, for Lind, it was enough time to be pulled out.

“Some VERY good Samaritans saw the crash and ran to the mangled vehicles, pulling everyone out seconds before the Corvette lit up like a torch. We're told Lind and the elderly couple were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries,” the celebrity publication writes.

At the time, there are no other details on the crash available. Police are probably refraining to comment until they have determined the cause.

Meanwhile, Lind’s girlfriend, Taylor Halbur, whom he started dating after Chealsea and with whom he also has a daughter, took to Twitter to wax poetic on the fragility of life in general. She doesn’t mention the crash specifically but, given that the tweet came right after news of it broke, it’s not hard to imagine she’s talking about it.

“Sometimes we forget how precious life is.. never take it for granted. It is a fragile thing and we never know what the future holds,” she writes.

Below is a video shot by a passer-by, of Lind’s Corvette burning to a crisp after the crash.
