14 DAY TRIAL // Of all the Teen Moms who got a shot at fame thanks to the MTV reality series, Jenelle Evans is perhaps the one that got the most media attention because of her hectic life. Out of rehab for only a couple of months, the 21-year-old is proud to announce that she’s bringing a new life into the world.
Evans is now married to Courtland Rogers, but the two do not have custody of her son because he’s been entrusted to her mother after her drug issues and anger management issues became public knowledge.
The two have an extremely volatile relationship. He also has a daughter from another relationship.
Despite all this, they swear they’re determined to get their life back on track, finally act like a real family and, in the process, prove the world that they are more than the sum of their problems.
“The 21-year-old MTV reality show star is more than six weeks along with her second child and her husband, Courtland Rogers, shared the bombshell news that the baby is due September 4 and gushed over becoming a father again,” Radar Online reports.
“Me and Jenelle are so happy that she’s pregnant. She told me, ‘I’m looking forward to a second chance’,” Courtland tells Radar’s sister print publication, Star Magazine.
He also reveals that Jenelle is hopeful that having another baby and being a responsible mother will convince the court that she can be entrusted with the care of her first son as well.
“She thinks if she can prove that she’s a good mother, she can get Jace back,” Courtland says.
Jenelle too has confirmed the news on Twitter, vouching to stay off drugs for the sake of her unborn child.
“I’ve been clean for months now and there’s a reason,” she writes.
Last Thanksgiving, Evans was unwillingly entered into a mental health facility after her mom noticed the marks on her arms, which told her she was back on drugs again.
