A teenage mother from Wheatmore High School in North Carolina is fighting the school's decision to exclude her photo from the graduation yearbook.

Asked to pose with a prop during the photo-op, 17-year-old Caitlin Tiller brought her son, My Fox 8 wrote.

Tiller works part-time and has managed to finish high-school, even earlier than her classmates. She credits her son for her resolve.

“He helped me get to where I am today. [...] I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him,” Tiller says.

Randolph County School officials gave her the options of sending in a different picture, but she is not budging on her decision. They claim that adding the photo would promote teen pregnancy.

Caitlin's mother supports her, mentioning that she could have dropped out of high-school but she has persevered to pursue her studies.
