14 DAY TRIAL // A 16-year-old girl from Texas is 2 months pregnant and she’s taking both her parents to court for her right to keep her baby, ABC News reports. The parents want her to have an abortion.

The girl’s attorney explains that both she and her unborn child are protected by law, and that she should not have an abortion only because her parents are pressuring her into it.
In court documents, the teen claims her parents and her baby’s daddy’s parents met, plotting to slip her an abortion pill without as much as telling her. Hence, the lawsuit.
She also says that she’s already been cut off from the world (she’s not allowed to go out anymore and has had her phone taken from her), and that her father has warned her that he is the one who gets to decide what happens to her unborn baby.
