On Sunday, when the Teen Choice Awards took place, there seemed to be an unfortunate accident on the red carpet involving one member of The Janoskians. Beau Brooks was attempting a stunt that involved him riding a surfboard on the red carpet when he fell on his head and was left unconscious.

At least, that's what it looked like from the recording, because the general consensus on the internet is that Beau staged his fall into unconsciousness very badly. The 21-year-old Australian is part of a group known for wild and dangerous stunts, and this wasn't, by far, one of their most daring acts.

The Janoskians is actually an acronym standing for Just Another Name Of Silly Kids In Another Nation. The boys form a YouTube comedy club that deals mostly in dangerous and funny stunts and pranks, gross-out humor, mockumentaries and dares.

The group has also released a number of singles in later years, and some of them have even made the charts. They have a huge following online, especially among the younger demographic, which is why they were invited at the Teen Choice Awards 2014, but it seems they wanted to outdo the rest of the acts.

Watching the video past the 1:40 mark, you'll be able to see Beau getting on his surfboard while his mates attempt to carry him across the carpet, at least until he falls onto his head. That's what we can presume because his fall is off-camera for just one second, but enough to miss the impact.

All we get to see is the boy unconscious on the floor, as his friends try to bring him back. Security then quickly moves in, and as if by magic, they come up with a neck brace which they slap on hurriedly, without any regard for his spine integrity.

Several people have pointed out that the brace does come up awfully quick as well as the fact that the man putting it on doesn't seem to have any medical training. All in all, the verdict is that the boys tried (and subsequently failed) to stage an accident to get attention.

At least some of the fans were genuinely concerned about the Australian's state of health because soon after his “accident,” tweets started to emerge, showing the fans’ support for Beau. The topic “#getwellbeauteenchoiceawards2014” began to trend soon after, and the group posted on their official account “Beau were with you buddy! #getwellbeauteenchoiceawards2014.”
