The local authorities arrested a Pike County teen after YouTube published numerous videos with the 18-year-old student vandalizing several stores. It seems like this wasn't the only accusation because the movies showed him breaking church windows and menacing drive-through restaurant workers, as Kentucky.com reported.

"Charles Jeremy Brown, a high school senior, was charged with 27 counts of menacing, eight counts of criminal mischief and one count of criminal littering after investigators watched 46 videos starring Brown and three or four others on the YouTube Web site, said Pike County Chief Deputy Sheriff Melvin Sayers. Brown was being held in the Pike County Detention Center last night," the same publication added.

It seems like it all started after several supermarkets filed complaints against the vandalism in numerous stores, the police investigating the videos published on Google's online video sharing service.

This is not the first time when YouTube plays an important role for the authorities in different counties after a lot of cases were reported in the past. The best example is represented by a video surveillance video published with a policeman looking for more information about a suspect. He decided to upload the video on the Google product to require details about the suspect and identify him with the users' help. The case was a real success because the clip was viewed by an impressive number of members that were also commenting it.

Also recently, a woman fighting against cancer decided to post a clip to share her story and inform other viewers of the movie about the treatment of the disease as well as the first signs of cancer. The video recorded an impressive number of views bundled with several comments to provide more information about the case.
