Developers want to take advantage of this time period and improve the game even more

Techland has just announced that its game Hellraid will no longer be coming this year as it has been postponed for 2014.

Marcin Kruczkiewicz said that “Since we started developing Hellraid we have had a clear goal to create a game that we all would love to play. We wanted to pay tribute to the best aspects of classic titles we grew up on and enhance them with new ideas, modern technology and extensive co-op that would provide players with dozens or even hundreds of hours of pure and bloody fun.”

He then mentioned that “If we released our game this year we would have to make too many compromises and the final product probably wouldn’t meet all our promises and players’ expectations.”

It seems that this decision was made in order to improve the game even further and implement new ideas as well as redesign those particular areas in the game that players did not like when playtesting Hellraid.

Fans can take a look at Kruczkiewicz's words on what he intends to change, “For example we want to redesign the magic system to make it even more powerful and diverse, add new ways of casting spells and a set of new, more visually stunning spells.”

Therefore, the developing team wants to take advantage of this time and incorporate some new gameplay features as well as game modes that will make Hellraid even more captivating for single-player and 4-player co-op.

Players will experience the “story-driven campaign of hack & slash action and unique, competitive co-op multiplayer that pits four players against the armies of hell – and each other – in a battle for points, rewards and fame” in 2014 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

If gamers want to stay updated on what's new, they should go on and follow Hellraid's Facebook page.
