As the number of portable computing systems that arrives on the market is sure to increase over the course of 2010, the need for solutions that will protect them against theft also becomes more dire, and that's exactly the reason why Griffin has come up with an entire new lineup of such products, called TechSafe.

Announced at CES 2011, the first product from the TechSafe lineup we'll talk about is the Cable Lock, that comes equipped with a curved steel security blade that slides into place scratch-free and secure, through the hinge on one's laptop.

The $39.99 Cable Lock sports a secure 4-digit combination lock, accompanied by a tempered five-foot (1.5 meter) locking cable that also sports a cable strap, for advanced management.

Next in line comes the $24.99 TechSafe Clamp, built around a specially-designed ball that can be tightened to adjust the Clamp to tables, shelves, desks or flat surfaces up to 1.8" (45 mm) thick, sliding upwards in order to thread your security cable through the middle of the ball before locking it to your laptop.

Beside these laptop-bound security solutions, Griffin also brought to CES 2011 three new tablet stands, designed to work with the iPad (but also supporting other tablet models), namely the Arrowhead, Wedge and Xpo.

The $19.99 Arrowhead universal stand for tablets sports two weighted "feet" to create a stable platform for tablets with a maximum display size of 10 inches, as well as rubber pads for a more secure position on the surface the stand is placed onto.

The Wedge stand, on the other hand, has been designed to lock in 3 different positions, folding flat while not in use.

The $39.99 stand is manufactured from aluminum and sports features padded, non-slip surfaces, in order to provide a good level of equilibrium for the tablet placed upon it.

Last, but certainly not least, comes the $29.99 Xpo, a compact stand for tablet-style devices that also easily folds for easier transport, while being able to to fit large and small tablet devices, horizontally or vertically.
