Some hackers protest against ACTA in the classic way and deface websites

While many hackers decided to protest against the controversial Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) by trying to raise awareness and by calling people to physical protest, some hacktivists still prefer the good old fashion way.

Voice Of Grey Hat informs that Teamgreyhat, the hacker collective that’s known to hack a large number of websites at a time, did it again, this time mass defacing around 7,000 websites as a form of protest against ACTA.

The list of defaced sites includes mostly Australian, Canadian, Indian, UK and US-based sites, at press time most of them being down or still displaying the image posted by the hackers.

ACTA is not the only thing that concerns Teamgreyhat. A few days ago they defaced the official website of the Central Drug Research Institute in protest against the lack of education and health provided to Indian children.
