Riot Games has confirmed two big features that will be released for its popular League of Legends game in 2014, in the form of the Teambuilder system and the Featured Game Modes one.

League of Legends received today its first big update of the year, in the form of patch 4.1, which made a wide array of balance tweaks and changes to the popular free-to-play online game.

Now, Riot has confirmed on its website two big systems that will appear for LoL in 2014, in the form of the Teambuilder and the Featured Game Modes.

"Teambuilder will make its debut later this season. Teambuilder is an unranked queue where players select the role, position and team strategy they are looking to play. You can experiment with new team compositions, pick your favorite champ every game or try out champs in unorthodox roles. Teambuilder lets you play League of Legends your way," the studio said.

"Featured Game Modes will be released throughout the year as we explore new game modes and bring back old favorites with some changes based on your feedback."

The two new systems will appear for LoL during this year.
