Those that thought a certain pair of flash drives was all that Team Group had prepared for its prospective customers were clearly mistaken now that a new press release has emerged.

It appears that Team Group is definitely ready to let loose with new NAND Flash-based storage solutions.

The new duo of USB 2.0 flash drives that it created for students, even though the school year is ending, was the first clue.

Now, the second clue has come in the form of a press release dealing with some memory cards of the SDHC and SDXC variety.

SDHC cards aren't that shocking in and of themselves, although these ones do have the advantage of compliance with the UHS-I specification.

These ones have capacities of 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB and can work at data rates of up to 40 MB/s read (writing is done at up to 15 MB/s).

The real stars of the show can very well be said to be the new SDXC models, if only for the sheer capacity that they can reach.

While their performance is more or less the same as that of the SDHC above (40 MB/s and 15 MB/s, respectively) the amount of data they can pack is enormous.

32 GB or 64 GB on such a puny memory card is already quite a lot, but Team Group actually made SDXC cards with 2 TB.

In other words, it will take hours to just copy everything from it to a PC, provided the speed really does manage to stay constant at 40 MB/s.

All in all, besides unveiled some new SDHC memory cards, Team Group also unleashed some SDXC ones that are more capacious than most HDDs of today.

Prices were not mentioned for either series, but they can obviously go very high, at least for the massive one described above.
