Single-channel module for gamers on a fixed budget

Team Group decided to launch a memory module for people who want to play with clock speeds but don't have a fortune to spend on super PCs.

The Xtreem Dark DDR3 1600CL9 is a single-channel module which, as its name makes it clear, has a base frequency of 1,600 MHz and a latency of CL9-9-9-24.

It works on a voltage of 1.5V, not too low, but not as high as it could have been either.

The capacities consumers will get to choose from are 2 GB and 4 GB.

Basically, this is a module for systems in need of a solid amount of adjustable memory, but whose owners can't afford a dual-channel kit.

Finally, keeping the same theme as the rest of the Dark series, the module has the customary black PCB.

No price was given, but it should be on sale before the Chinese Lunar New Year (January 23, 2012).
