Video game developer Valve has introduced new updates for both its Source Engine and Team Fortress 2, fixing one client crash that was linked to the sound emitter and a server-related problem that affected pathfinding for the bots.

The company also fixes the tf_zombie, which caused crashes for some game servers.

The Source Engine patch applies to Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Day of Defeat: Source.

Valve is keen to keep Team Fortress 2, its much lauded multiplayer online shooter, relevant and that means that the company has to move fast in order to make sure that it fixes problems as soon as the community reports them.

All the changes to the Source Engine will be applied as soon as a player restarts the Steam digital distribution service.
