Team Fortress 2, an online team multiplayer game developed by Valve, has been updated once more by its developer. Furthermore, a separate summer sale is also running as we speak, specifically for this game.

Team Fortress 2 was ported to the Linux platform a long time ago, and it's one of the first games from Valve that were made available on the open-source platform. To make things even more interesting, we need to mention that Team Fortress 2 is always in top of the most played games on Steam, which is quite an achievement if we keep in mind that the title was made available all the way back in 2007.

The Team Fortress 2 game is free to play, but it's not following a regular model. The only stuff that's available for purchase has only decorative value, so anyone has the same chances. You can't buy better weapons or items, and you can't get ahead without playing a lot. You can only get better hats and other stuff, but that's pretty much it.

Latest Team Fortress 2 update is a big one

One of the most interesting entries in the changelog has to with the Steam Summer Sale and not with the game itself. The developers have decreed that the Mann Co. Store sale is on, and that is probably the main attraction.

According to the changelog, OWL 13 tournament medals have been added, the Mann Co. Store prices for foreign currencies have been updated to current USD equivalents, the Maps Workshop Beta has been updated, and various fixes and crashes have been corrected.

Team Fortress 2 features a large number of multiplayer modes, such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, and more. Players can choose one of the nine classes: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy.
