Team Fortress 2 is one of the biggest online first-person shooters out there, owing much of its popularity to the team at Valve, which offered fans a great product whose content kept changing from month to month thanks to new updates and content add-ons.
The last two weeks were filled with TF2 announcements, as the next content update for the game was revealed piece by piece and focused on two very antagonistic units, the Sniper and the Spy. We've already seen what
weapons,
modes,
achievements and
introductions they received, but now, in order to formally release the update, the team at Valve has announced that, besides the usual 50 percent price cut to the game, it has also launched a free weekend in which all Steam users can download and play the game for free.
That's right, in honor of the Sniper and Spy update, everyone can enjoy a few days’ worth of free play, during which time they have the opportunity to buy the full game at a much lower price if they enjoy the whole experience. Of course, this weekend will be dedicated to the two units and their vicious battle, which is the main focus point for the image above.
From May 21 to May 25 players will have quite some time to get used to the game and probably achieve some interesting kills, even though the older, much more experienced players will probably kill them off quite easily. This is also a great chance to unlock some of the achievements that the two units have received in the last few days.
Overall, you'd better start Steam and begin downloading the game and prepare to experience a great online experience, if you don't already own the title. Until the beginning of next week, enjoy your multiplayer mayhem, courtesy of Valve.
