Team Fortress 2, the online multiplayer game developed by Valve, has received a new update and this time the developers have also concentrated on a few technical aspects.

Team Fortress 2 is always in the top ten games played on the Steam platform and that puts a lot of pressure on the developers to keep the title fair and balanced. That means that numerous updates need to be pushed on a regular basis and that all aspects of the gameplay must be supervised.

One of the gamers’ main occupations is to find problems that can be exploited to their advantage, so the makers of Team Fortress need to step in on a regular basis and make various balancing modifications to bring everything back to normal.

According to the changelog, various dedicated server performance and stability improvements have been implemented, a new startup music track from Expiration Date has been added, missing photos/thumb images for koth_badlands have been added, a client crash related to the snd_restart command for Linux clients has been fixed, a dedicated server crash related to arrows has been corrected, the Bolt Boy is no longer using the wrong material for the Blue team, the memory usage for Linux clients has been improved, and the Restart Game and Scramble Teams votes have been updated and now they always have a mandatory cooldown period.

Also, sv_memlimit is no longer marked as a cheat convar, sv_minuptimelimit and sv_maxuptimelimit have been added to manage the server restart window, a rollback leading to the final capture point in stage 2 of the pl_cactuscanyon level has been removed, the fence position on forward spawn building in stage 2 of the pl_cactuscanyon level has been reworked, players can no longer build inside the staircase near A robots, and a sticky stair collision that occurred when coming out of the water near B robots has been fixed.

The company makes money selling items that are made only for decorating the characters, like hats, pants, and so on. This has been a very profitable game for Valve because thousands of items are traded every day and the company makes a percentage from every sale.

Team Fortress 2 features a large number of multiplayer modes, such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, and more. Moreover, players can choose one of the nine classes available: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy.
