14 DAY TRIAL // A new major update is live for Team Fortress 2, which launches a new update that launches the Smissmas 2013 event, designed to bring holiday cheer for all those who are playing the Valve made shooter.
The major changes involve Stocking filled with gifts and Secret Sexaton packages that can be exchanged between gamers.
The update linked to the new event include, according to the official announcement:
- All Players who play TF2 during the event will receive a Gift-Stuffed Stocking! Stockings contain goodies for good little Mercenaries. - Added community-contributed winter event items - Added the Giftapult, which can be used to launch gift items to randomly-chosen online players - Added Naughty and Nice winter keys to the Mann Co. Store - Premium Players will receive a Secret Saxton to give to another player
Grants from previous events, like Spirit of Giving and the Winder Holiday noise creator, have also been renabled and can be used for a limited time ony.
Team Fortress 2 has also received a range of balance changes, most of them linked to the way weapons work, and a number of exploits have also been eliminated.
Gamers who care about the way their characters look also have access to some new options.
The update will be automatically downloaded next time a user starts Steam.
