EA Sports is really hyping up this year's release of NCAA Football 10, which, because of its focus on college football, is less known than its Madden NFL bigger brother. So, after unveiling the various cover athletes that would represent the different console variants, EA Sports is now ready to talk about one of the most interesting features tied to the new game, Team Builder.

As the name implies, this feature is designed to allow all players to build their own custom schools with their respective football teams, which can be then saved for use in game modes like Play Now, Dynasty and Online Play, or shared with other players. The Team Builder system is built to be accessible from any computer that has Internet access and can be found at teambuilder.easports.com. EA Sports is saying that the feature will be available well before the release date of NCAA Football 10.

There are ten fields that must be filled online to create a custom football team. After all the details are set up, the player needs to choose colors and then the team can be used or shared. But the real joy resides in the Team Builder feature - creating a unique team. There are logos to be chosen, team stadiums to be designed and then named, fields, which can be customized from surface type to text to be displayed in the end zone, uniforms to be built, beginning with shoes and ending with helmets.

Players can also set the program of the team, with options to define playing style, with the various plays that the team can perform, a feature useful in the Dynasty modes, both the offline and online versions.

EA Sports is stating that all those who buy NCAA Football 10 will get 12 slots in which they can save teams on their hard drives, while those who pre-order will have access to a grand total of 25 save slots.
