A pre-kindergarden teacher from New York infuriated her student's parents after sending them a written letter as a notice about the fact that their children are dirty and they smell.

It may seem that the teacher could not endure her students' smells anymore and decided to complain to their parents. The letter she sent was a notice that required a signature from both the parent and the child after acknowledging the disturbing issue.

“Several children in Pre-K, ages 3-4 are coming to school (sometimes daily) with soiled, stained, or dirty clothes. Some give off unpleasant smells and some appear unclean and unkept,” the teacher writes in the letter. She then continues saying “it is a health and safety concern. It also makes it difficult for me to be closer to them or even want to touch them.”

The handwritten note that spread all over the Internet belonged to a pre-kindergarden teacher from the Buffalo school district BUILD Academy where almost 30 percent of the population lives below the poverty line, according to Metro.

The parents were not upset about the fact that the teacher was disturbed by the kids’ sanitary issues, but by the way she chose to explain that, by writing a letter and handing it out to the children. Some of the kids came home to the parents and asked if their teacher thought they stink, or even worse, they started pointing fingers at other children saying their teacher said they stink.

Instead of helping the children get along with other kids, the teacher turned them against each other. This kind of behavior has deep psychological marks on the child's mind, affecting him in future human interactions.

The teacher's behavior and the fact that she sent that letter without the Principal's approval were addressed in a school meeting, and after several discussions the school decided to give the teacher another chance.
