This might be hard to believe - kind of like if somebody would step forward and say that unicorns and leprechauns were real - but it just so happens that there are still people in this world who have never even heard of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Until recently, a high school teacher in West Virginia, US, was among these blessed few. Then her students clued her in when they tricked her into letting them watch the movie as a reward for good work.

Since she was utterly and completely clueless about the topic of the movie, the Hampton County teacher gave in to this request and let the students hit the “play” button. In class. Little did she know she was in for the surprise of a lifetime.

The bad news is that, about 10 minutes after the movie had started, the high school's principal walked in and pulled the plug on the inappropriate screening before things got too awkward. One can only assume the student's were left quite disappointed by this interference.

“I will say it was an extreme lack of judgment from an otherwise very capable teacher. She didn’t do a background check on the movie or even ask about it,” said principal Jeff Woofter, as cited by Mashable.

For now, it's unclear whether the teacher or her students will face disciplinary action for this incident.
