32-year-old Christie David, a language arts teacher at a high-school in Cleveland, Tennessee, was fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student.

David has a good reputation among teachers at Walker Valley High, since joining the school in October 2011. She is married and also teaches a spin class at the local YMCA.

According to the Cleveland Banner, the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office begun looking into Christie when they received an anonymous tip. The investigation started on September 27.

“Findings of the investigation were presented in a session of the Bradley County Grand Jury and an indictment was issued accusing David of having an inappropriate relationship with a male, a 15-year-old former student,” Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for BCSO stated.

The woman was fired, arrested and indicted by a Bradley County Grand Jury, and has posted bail of $10,000 (€7,700).
