Swedish artist Cecilia Levy is combining her passion for fine arts with a creative environmental awareness to launch a line of unconventional amazing tea cups made from recycled book pages. She has succeeded in making traditional origami look dull and useless.

So far, her talent has been rewarded properly, since she received an MFA in graphic design. She worked as a teacher at the College of Arts and Crafts in Gothenburg and continues to help students value recycled materials while converting them into precious works of art.

Her collection of tea cups is currently commercialized all across Sweden and it might be sold internationally in the near future, Inhabitat informs.

Even though the awesome looking paper-based cups could never actually be used to serve tea, it makes us want to store our ancient porcelain mugs and think about greener replacements attracting the admiration of our guests.

Nevertheless, her ingenious masterpieces prove that we can turn useless materials into cash and that there are other ingenious alternatives to the common recycling strategies that only manage to keep our streets clean.
