Singer Taylor Swift will never dress differently from now and neither will she ever bare it all for the magazines. Speaking with The Telegraph about her music, her fans and the need she feels to stay true to herself, Taylor promises never to change.

She admits she’s been asked – repeatedly – to wear more skimpy clothes or even to take them off for a photoshoot, but she never gave in. She has no plans to do that anytime in the future.

“It wasn’t a career decision… it’s just a life decision,” she says of not wanting to promote a sensual image of herself.

She is who she is and she’s more than happy that fans love her like this.

“I like wearing pretty dresses and I like trying out new styles but I don’t feel comfortable taking my clothes off. I wouldn’t wear tiny amounts of clothing in my real life so I don’t think it’s necessary to wear that stuff in photo-shoots,” Taylor explains.

Speaking of fans, they’re basically the one thing that gives meaning to Taylor’s life. The singer knows she wouldn’t be a success if it wasn’t for them, which is why she’s always going out of her way to maintain the special bond she shares with them.

“I’ve had some hilarious conversations in those meet-and-greet lines. I’ve met many of the girls more than once. I mean, I’ve been on tour since I was 16 and I always do meet-and-greets before and after shows so you kind of build these friendships with people,” she says.

Besides those meet-and-greet events, Taylor also puts in the extra hours keeping in touch with fans on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. And she makes it a point of handling all this herself.

“Yeah. I spend a bit of time online every day but it’s worth it because that’s how [the fans and I] keep in touch. And what else am I doing? I’m jet-lagged every single day and awake at 4am, so…” she says.

In the same interview, Taylor also states the obvious when she comes clean about singing about her former loves – and the boys who broke her heart, in particular.

This is her way of controlling every detail of her personal life that comes out in the press, of protecting her privacy because, at the end of the day, she’s the only one who knows who each song is about.
