Lookout, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Swift is coming for you, but not in the sense that you'd think, but basically by taking over your career. A report from Radar would have us believe that the country singer has her eyes firmly set on an acting career.

Tired of ruling the charts with her songs, Taylor wants to expand her world dominance to include movies and the box office. Considering that she's got a pretty face and she can be a diva at times, it's easy to see how she would fit into most Hollywood movie sets.

However, Taylor doesn't just want to be another pretty face, she wants to be “the” pretty face, except not just the face part, but also to include her acting skills. One insider reveals that, “Taylor badly wants to be a movie star. She’s determined to prove herself as an actress and not simply a singer who dabbles in movies.”

Swift has flirted with acting before, and not just in the music videos she's made for her songs, since you can't really call that acting, but simply performing in front of the cameras. No, we're talking about her cameos in concert films, as well as a kissing scene with then boyfriend Taylor Lautner in the high school movie “Valentine's Day” that came out in 2010.

As you can see, that can hardly qualify her for an Oscar, which is why she's so determined to land bigger parts that will get people to notice her acting skills and not just her piano, singing and head-bobbing skills. Oh, she also writes her own music in her free time, which is awesome.

The insider reveals that she's so ambitious about this thing that she's even turned down a highly profitable role in a concert movie similar to those made by Justin Bieber and Katy Perry. “She doesn’t just want to be known as a singer, so she’s trying to get aligned with some high profile, non-musical productions.”

So she's probably got some serious drama in mind, not just a rom-com or a summer blockbuster. The fact that she's been reading scripts “under the radar” for years now proves that this isn't just one of those things you do on a whim.

She confessed in an interview some years ago that she did have her eyes set on acting and that she had a few people she admired. “When I look at acting careers that I really admire, I see that it’s been a precise decision-making process for these people,” she said.

And just to further prove that she's dead serious about becoming this big actress, the insider points out that most of her work on screen, including commercing for soft drinks, has been done primarily by big names in the industry, which, he claims, was done at her bidding.

The wheels have been set in motion on this plan a long time ago, which is why you can expect to see Taylor Swift in her breakout role as soon as the end of this summer, which is mere months away.
