For the first time since their short-lived romance ended 2 years ago, John Mayer is speaking out on Taylor Swift and how he felt about her writing a song about him. The other day, they also had a very awkward encounter.

Taylor and John dated just for what felt like a second, but he still broke her heart when he dumped her.

To get something good out of a negative situation, she wrote a song about him, in which she basically aired their dirty laundry in public, something that, John is now saying, completely “humiliated” him because it was a “lame” thing to do.

There's still a lot of resentment between them, as evidenced by a recent encounter, PageSix reports.

“The battle between John Mayer and Taylor Swift nearly came to a head Tuesday at West Hollywood’s starry Tower Bar, when the ex-lovers unexpectedly and uncomfortably came face-to-face,” the celebrity e-zine writes.

“Swift, 22, entered the Tower Bar at Jeff Klein’s Sunset Tower Hotel on Tuesday night, and, a spy tells Page Six, it was 'drama central' when the blond superstar was about to be seated and noticed that her onetime beau Mayer, 34, was dining with a friend nearby,” adds the same media outlet.

Swift instantly caused a scene by asking to be seated someplace else, as far away from Mayer as possible.

“Taylor very visibly – in front of the entire restaurant – to be moved to the other side. The bar’s usually an oasis of calm and privacy for celebrities and power players, but this was drama central,” an eyewitness says for the publication.

As we also informed you the other day, Mayer is just now speaking on the whole “Dear John” debacle, saying Swift wrote the song at the worst time of his life, practically kicking him when he was already down.

Not only did she act cowardly by writing it, but she didn't even bother to inform him that she was about to blast him in public. As if that wasn't enough, the song isn't even that good, Mayer said.

“['Dear John' is] cheap songwriting. It's abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, 'Wait til he gets a load of this!' That's bull[expletive],” were his exact words.

So far, Taylor has not even acknowledged his most recent comments.
