14 DAY TRIAL // Taylor Swift is taking her matchmaker role very seriously, make no mistake about it. Just days after word got out that she was trying to get good friend Selena Gomez to move past her breakup with Justin Bieber by setting her up with some “cool” guys, here is another report saying that she’s trying to do the same for Katie Holmes.
It’s a good thing then that Selena and Justin are back together again, because that means Taylor can concentrate on finding the right man for Katie, who has been single since her 2012 divorce from Tom Cruise.
If you’re wondering how come these two even know each other, we should probably note that they’re starring together in the new young adult movie “The Giver.” They’re actually BFFs now, Star Magazine claims in its latest print edition (story via CB).
“Taylor is obsessed with finding the perfect guy for Katie,” an unnamed insider reveals. “She teases her about setting her up with a cute younger guy who will rock her world!”
Apparently, Taylor already knows who this guy could be: Kellan Lutz, best known for fans from the vampire film franchise “The Twilight Saga.” He’s also starred in “Hercules,” but not the one with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and “The Expendables 3.”
In case you’re not familiar with his body of work, suffice it to say that Kellan is considered one of the most desirable “hunks” in showbiz right now. He might not be much in terms of a good actor, but he’s definitely a sight for sore eyes, especially with his shirt off.
Taylor thinks he’s just what Katie needs right now, at a time when she’s probably not considering getting into another serious relationship, not when her previous one (with Cruise) ended the way it did.
“Katie’s 35 and not so sure about dating a younger man, but Taylor’s totally pressuring her into it, telling her it’s exactly what she needs right now,” the source explains. “Taylor won’t let it go. She’s on a mission!”
Of course, as celebrity gossip lovers must know, Taylor isn’t exactly the best person to be dishing out dating advice, since her love life has made her tabloid fodder. Whether it’s true or not we can’t know, but she has the reputation of a very clingy young woman, the kind that starts talking marriage and babies and planning the whole future on the second date.
She’s been linked in the press with John Meyer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, and Harry Styles, and all of them reportedly dumped her over text or phone call, in less than 3 months, because they found her absolutely suffocating.
