Taylor Swift is slowly getting the reputation in the press of a perpetually heartbroken girl. After going only on a few dates with British actor Eddie Redmayne, the singer has been dumped – and is inconsolable once more. A few days ago, there was a lot of talk about how Taylor was in London because she was a sure thing for the lead in “Les Miserables.”
As it turns out, the role went to someone else, but not before Swift got to meet Eddie Redmayne, who would have been her co-star – and fall head over heels for him.
They even went out on a few dates, the latest print issue of Us Weekly reports, as cited by
Hollywood Life.
“They hung out in New York City with the movie’s execs. And Taylor developed feelings for him fast. Taylor loved the image of a British boyfriend,” an unnamed but reportedly reliable spy says.
There was definitely some chemistry between the two, so this wasn't just a one-sided infatuation on the part of Taylor.
However, when Eddie found out that she hadn't gotten the part, he backed out of the budding romance, since he wasn't that keen on the concept of long-distance dating.
“Eddie’s not interested in a long-distance relationship. The elements were against them. It’s a shame,” the tipster explains.
Recent reports about Taylor's love life have also linked her
to good friend Zac Efron, who's also been linked to Demi Moore.
At the same time, though, word has it that the cute singer
still can't move on from the failed 3-month romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, who broke up with her over the phone without offering her the slightest explanation for it.
Admittedly, she was smitten with him that news they were no longer together came as a shock. If one is to believe reports, Taylor is still nursing a broken heart and doesn't know if she'll be ready to start dating again.
