Taylor Swift is as famous for her music as she is for her love life. In her interview with the latest issue of Parade Magazine, the star admits she usually falls in love fast and hard, but stresses she doesn’t really have a choice.

Much has been said about Taylor’s love life and how unlucky in love she is, but she insists it’s not a choice she has: it’s not like she’s deliberately setting herself up for heartbreak.

“I don’t think there’s an option for me to fall in love slowly, or at medium speed. I either do or I don’t. I don’t think it through, really, which is a good thing and a bad thing,” she says.

She compares falling in love to taking a dangerous leap, she being the kind that never looks down before jumping.

“You don’t look before you leap, which is like, ‘Yay, this is awesome! Let’s not think twice!’ And then you’re like, ‘We used to be flying. Now we’re falling. What’s happening?’” she says.

Perhaps part of the reason she’s so unlucky in love is that she likes bad boys. Of course, she’d rather they were reformed bad boys but they’re probably not when she falls for them.

“There’s a really interesting charisma involved. They usually have a lot to say, and even if they don’t, they know how to look at you to say it all. I think every girl’s dream is to find a bad boy at the right time, when he wants to not be bad anymore,” Taylor says.

So far, Taylor has been linked to some of the most unexpected and big names out there, from Jake Gyllenhaal to John Mayer, Conor Kennedy and, more recently, Harry Styles of One Direction.

In fact, as we also reported only a few days ago, she’s believed to be in the market for some real estate in London so she can move down the street from Harry because she’s convinced their relationship will totally work this time, now that they’re not spending most of their time apart.
