Taylor Swift’s live duets are often a hit and miss but, the other night in Foxborough, Massachusetts she totally delivered the goods when she had iconic singer and songwriter Carly Simon on stage for a surprise appearance.

The two sang together the 1972 hit “You’re So Vain,” much to the delight of fans.

Useless to point out, by including an older artist into her show, Taylor has managed to win over a generation of music lovers that, perhaps, had not been too big Swift fans until then.

“Before I bring out my special guest, I have this question that I've always, always had,” Taylor told her fans at the show by means of an introduction.

“I think a lot of you have probably had this question too, always wondered what the answer is. Who is this song, ‘You're So Vain’ by Carly Simon, written about?” she asked.

Then Carly came out and the fun started. Check it out in the video above.
