Taylor Momsen managed to step on some toes again and, this time, she didn’t even speak about her personal life. The rock singer, in Glasgow with her band The Pretty Reckless, offended her fans with her poor geography skills.

As Music AOL and the video below will confirm, Taylor took to the stage in Glasgow and welcomed the crowd in a way that she believed would make them warm up to her more.

Useless to say, when concertgoers realized that she had no idea where she was, the initial cheering became a rather loud booing – fortunately, Taylor did not seem to pick up on her gaffe right there.

“We are The Pretty Reckless and we have heard that Glasgow is the craziest crowd in all of England,” she said. The Scots in attendance were not happy with it – quite understandably, after all.

One fan who was at the show told the media that, while this could have happened to any other celebrity, it is also concrete proof that Taylor needs to go back to school and learn some geography.

“I think she needs to go back to school for geography lessons... There really isn’t any excuse. Surely someone backstage could have said something to her,” he said, as cited by Music AOL.

Another says he was personally offended about the slip-up and that it ruined what could have been an amazing live performance, one that he was dying to see.

“People began to cheer as they presumed she was going to say Scotland, but when the penny dropped all you could hear was boos. It was right at the start of the gig and it took the shine off it. I was really looking forward to it, but after Taylor said that it just left a bad taste. She didn’t even apologize,” he said.

Indeed, Momsen did not apologize on the spot, but she did do so later on her Twitter page. Moreover, she also said she planned on making up for her gaffe by touring Scotland with the band in a near future.

“Glasgow, I love you, I now HAVE to tour SCOTLAND (haha, sorry bout the slip up!)” she wrote.
