Taylor Lautner’s Biggest Fan: Jamie Foxx

Girls go crazy for Taylor Lautner, the young actor playing Jacob Black in “The Twilight Saga” and who underwent a remarkable physical transformation for the part in the second film. Still, it’s not just teenage girls who mob the star, as he reveals in a recent interview cited by People magazine.

Granted, this time it was not for the autograph hunter himself, Lautner explains. One day, as he was out surrounded by fans, answering questions and signing pictures, he heard his name called out but, this time, it wasn’t in a soft, delicate, female voice. When he turned around, he saw veteran and Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx patiently waiting for his autograph, Taylor reveals, still under the shock of the initial revelation.

“There’s tons of fans and we hear all of these high pitch voices and we hear ‘Rah, rah, Taylor, Taylor!’ All of a sudden I hear this deep voice behind me: ‘Taylor, Taylor!’.... And this guy walks up to me and he goes ‘Hey... my daughter is a huge fan, and I’m a huge fan is there any way I can get a picture with you. I’m Jamie Foxx.’ I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Can I get a picture with you?’” Taylor explains.

Presumably, Lautner eventually took and signed the picture for Foxx’s daughter, although no mention of that is made anywhere. This only goes to show that, first of all, it pays to have someone so “high up” in showbiz to get autographs from the hottest stars of the moment, while, secondly, standing as proof of just how hot of a commodity Lautner is these days. Even if the label sometimes upsets the actor, as also does the excessive attention, it will eventually help him build a career in Hollywood, he said more than once.

Taylor Lautner, just like the other “Twilight” stars, doesn’t really understand the frenzy that is ignited the moment he smiles or simply shows face. Still, since he plans to be around for much longer in the movie industry, it’s something he has decided to live with, especially since one of the bright sides is that he gets to meet “fans” of Jamie Foxx’s caliber.
