Taylor Lautner from “Twilight” is getting ready to move away from the franchise with his first-ever leading role: in “Abduction,” an action thriller that has often been compared to the “Bourne” films. He’s promoting it in the latest issue of VMan magazine.

Wearing more makeup than necessary but still doing his best broody pose, Lautner also opens up a bit to the mag about how his life has changed since he was called back for “New Moon,” following intense fan demand.

He says that he’s got so many projects on his plate right now that he hardly knows who he really is when he’s not working – quite an accurate statement, given that he’s been labeled one of Hollywood’s hottest commodities.

“If I’m not filming, I’m promoting, and if it wasn’t Twilight, it was a different movie, so it got really busy,” Lautner says of the past two years of his life.

Not that he’s complaining, though – but he’d definitely use some time to sort things out a bit.

“But yeah, no, I, you know, I hang out with my friends, family, and kind of just – I don’t even know. It’s like, when I am not filming, it seems like – I don’t even know what I do,” Taylor adds.

Being part of the huge “Twilight” media machine has opened countless doors for him and he’s not about to complain. Nevertheless, there are some disadvantages as well.

“I hadn’t explored much besides Michigan and California,” he says of his pre-“Twilight” days.

“When I am traveling the world promoting the films I say I am on vacation, but it’s not really true, I guess – because when I go to a beautiful city I spend the whole time in a hotel room and then I am back on a plane to the next place,” he adds.

Members of Team Jacob (Twi-hards know) will be able to see Taylor reprise his role as Jacob Black in November, when “Breaking Dawn: Part 1” comes out.

In the meantime, “Abduction” is out in theaters in September.
