14 DAY TRIAL // The October / November 2011 issue of GQ Australia is out and should bring a smile on the lips of all those “Twilight” fans out there, since it comes with a beautiful photospread with Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in the franchise.
As if that wasn’t enough good news, the mag also brings an interview with the actor, dubbed one of the most promising young stars of the moment, while also among the highest paid.
“Twilight” has made Taylor a very wealthy and desirable man, but it’s also brought him legions of fans who, at times, would do some of the stupidest things to get his attention.
He doesn’t complain, as neither does he say anything negative about the attention he’s been getting from the paparazzi and the tabloid media, because he knows that, at the end of the day, it comes with the territory.
“I wouldn’t say I get upset about it. I asked for this,” he says. However, “It gets frustrating,” he adds.
“But during that frustration you say, ‘OK. Why am I frustrated? I’m doing what I love.’ But sometimes you really just want to go do whatever you want to do,” Taylor further says.
One of the things he wants to do is indulge in his love of cars. Just recently, he’s bought himself a sweet ride, the pricey SLS AMG Mercedes-Benz.
It was about time for a change, he underlines.
“As you know, I’ve been driving the same car [a BMW 5 series] for the past four years. But I’ve always been a huge car fan. And I would always go to dealerships and drool,” the actor says.
“And I definitely always had my eye on this car. And it was a long process before I even considered getting a car like that. It’s a childhood dream,” he adds.
Until “Breaking Dawn Part 1” comes out in theaters this November, fans can see him in the thriller “Abduction,” still playing in theaters in some territories.
