Fame has many advantages, they say, but in the case of “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner it seems to come with some serious cons as well. Given the kind of exposure the youngster has been getting in recent months, as well as the kind of media attention he’s been showered with in the same time interval, it seems some fans easily forget that he is, after all, only 17. This happened to a 40-year-old female fan, Fox News says.

Celebrities often find themselves in awkward situations when they don’t know how to act or react to something that a fan says or does. However, they usually also have some sort of experience with these things, either because they have already lived them before or because they have been warned about the possibility of them happening. Most celebrities are also much older than Taylor when they are forced to deal with this type of situations.

“Oh, the price of fame. ‘Twilight’ hottie Taylor Lautner, who plays hunk Jacob Black in the Vampire series, isn’t just a popular pin-up for tweens and teens across the world. The 17-year-old admits he has also had to contend with an aggressive older female fan attempting to do some well, inappropriate things.” Fox News writes of an incident that seems to have happened pretty recently.

According to Lautner himself, the much older woman came up to him and tried to remove her underwear in front of him so that he could sign it for her. Eventually, she managed to accomplish her goal, as Taylor says “They had my name imprinted on them.” Most likely, he did not sign them, one may infer. The 40-year-old fan was clearly not aware that Taylor was still underage by law and what she was doing was miles away from the norms of proper behavior, it is being said. “So that was kind of strange… but you can’t expect anything from these ‘Twilight’ fans.” Taylor Lautner told Fox News of the aforementioned incident.

“Twilight” stars seem to be prone to attracting this kind of attention from fans who can’t tell the difference between film and real life, one might say judging from Robert Pattinson’s case as well. Either way, those who do make said difference are already urging the entire community to stop and pay attention. “It’s cool to remember they are people (and some of them are underage people) and give them the respect anyone deserves.” a post on Twilight Lexicon, one of the biggest “Twilight” fansites, reads.
