Hearthstone: Heroes of the Warcraft, the hugely popular multiplayer card game from Blizzard, is getting the new update 2.7 this month, and alongside things like new characters to buy, there will be a free new Tavern Brawl game mode that adds limited time challenges to the title.

Hearthstone came out some time ago, and while its premise of multiplayer card battles was deemed interesting, Blizzard's dedication to the project led to huge popularity across many platforms and a loyal eSports reputation.

New update brings many fresh things to Hearthstone

Now, while talking on the official website, Blizzard confirms that the next update, which launches soon, is going to bring a lot of brand new features.

Chief among these is the Tavern Brawl game mode, which is free for all players. It consists of themed challenges that last a limited time. They can range from offering preset decks to all players, to having special rules limiting actions or deck composition.

Players will be able to brawl with strangers or with friends. The first Tavern Brawl will go live in "Mid-June" according to Blizzard, so expect something probably next week. As part of the launch celebration, Blizzard will give players a free card pack when they win their first game in Tavern Brawl.

New heroes are coming, alongside deck customization options

Blizzard also confirms that the next update will also enable the new heroes for the already classic classes. The first will be Magni Bronzebeard for the Warrior role, and two more characters are teased.

New deck customization options are also coming, allowing players to pin specific card backs to a certain deck. All the card backs will be moved to the Collection Manager and players will be able to inspect them more closely before using them in matches.

The new patch 2.7 for Hearthstone launches soon, so be on the lookout for all these new changes and options.
