Mind you, the couple are still very much in love

Anyone who's ever been in love knows all too well that those butterflies you get in your stomach when around the person you fancy can make you do some pretty crazy things.

Take this Russian couple, for instance. On their very first date, they made an ultimate gesture of love and, believe it or not, they do not regret it. At least not just yet, anyways.

In a nutshell, here's what happened: when on their first date, Rouslan Toumaniantz proved brave enough to use his now-girlfriend's face as a canvas.

Thus, Rousland Toumaniantz went ahead and tattooed his name on the willing lady's face. It wasn't just their first date, it was the very first day that they met.

According to the Sun, his Christian name is inscribed on her face in letters that are five inches (12.7 cm) high. Judging from the photos of the two of them together, though, she doesn't seem to mind.

By the looks of it, Lesya Toumaniantz was OK with him branding "Ruslan" on her face, and the pair have remained together ever since.

“It's a symbol of our eternal devotion. I'd like him to tattoo every inch of my body,” she confessed in an interview. Well, that settles it then. It was all for love.
