An egg brand, called Eggs for Soldiers, has decided to mark this year's March Fourth – it's annual fundraising event designed to aid Help for Heroes charity – with the creation of a Toast-A-Cutter Army.

Help for Heroes is a charitable organization created to help those who have been wounded in Britain's current conflicts. It has attracted various high-profile patrons and trustees, as well as the support of the Army Benevolent Fund and the Ministry of Defence.

The Mirror reports that Eggs for Soldiers made an army of 1,000 identical toast soldiers which were exhibited yesterday at London's Royal Artillery Museum. The 12 centimeter soldiers are inspired by the famous Chinese Terracotta Army and were created using bespoke toast-cutters.

A group of five designers have worked on the Toast Army and they used almost 80 loaves of stole bread. The tasty troops took more than 16 hours to complete and they are ideal for dipping into boiled eggs.

“We're very proud to officially support Help for Heroes. Our Toast-A-Cutter Army at the Royal Artillery Museum brings to life the very essence of Eggs For Soldiers in a lighthearted way but it has a serious message at its heart,” stated Caroline Beatty, brand manager at Eggs For Soldiers.

Eggs for Soldiers usually donates 15p ($0.25/€0.18) from every box of six eggs sold, and so far, they have raised almost £1 million ($1.66 million/€1.21 million) for Help for Heroes.
