SyFy original movie becomes a classic thanks to Twitter, will probably get follow-up

SyFy probably didn’t even expect one of its most recent releases, the hilariously bad “Sharknado,” to become such a hit. But it did – thanks to Twitter – so it’s time we already started talking about a possible sequel.

Hollywood tradition demands it.

Tara Reid, who stars in the film alongside Ian Ziering, called in on TMZ Live to talk about the project and, to no one’s surprise, revealed that she’d gladly do a sequel if the network greenlighted it.

“I'm just so glad that people saw the humor in it that I did... because it's hilarious,” she said of the reception the film got.

“This movie was so ridiculous, you know? Like it's almost so bad that it's good,” Reid added.

That “almost” there is sort of redundant, but I understand why she can’t trash-talk her own movie, at least not so soon after release.

So, tell me: did you watch “Sharknado”? More importantly, would you watch a sequel as well?
