14 DAY TRIAL // After Reese Witherspoon pulled the “Don’t you know who I am?” card the other day to a police officer while her husband was being arrested for DUI, it’s now Tara Reid’s turn to do the same. Luckily, she did not get in any trouble with the law because of it.
PageSix reports that an apparently inebriated Tara went shopping to All Saints in LA, looking for the perfect outfit for the ongoing Coachella music festival.
She picked the clothes she liked, tried them on and then proceeded to pay for them, but was quite shocked to learn that she – a celebrity! – wouldn’t get a discount, the e-zine reports.
This is when all hell broke loose, says an insider.
“She was screaming. She had to be escorted out by security. She seemed drunk,” the tipster reveals.
Tara caused a major scene but, even so, she still walked out (as in, was escorted out of the store) empty-handed because the store refused to make her any kind of discount.
A rep for the former “American Pie” star confirms some sort of incident happened, but denies that Tara was drunk – or that she was wrong in expecting a discount because of how famous she is.
“Tara gets a huge discount with All Saints in the UK and Paris because she’s a walking billboard for them. She gets photographed... so they give her huge hookups. We told them we get a discount, and they said they’d email the press team,” the publicist explains.
She adds that she was there in the store when this went down, and that the only “scene” her client made was to ask a salesperson to check again if she really couldn’t get the discount.
“She was definitely not drunk. People love to say Tara’s hammered and this and that... whoever is saying that is not on Team Tara,” adds the rep.
