14 DAY TRIAL // Tanning Mom Patricia Krentcil is making one final effort to convince basically everybody that she’s not guilty of second degree child endangerment for taking her daughter into the tanning booth with her.
Krentcil shot to international “fame” in May this year, when her 5-year-old daughter Ana went to school with burns on her body. She told the pediatrician that she’d been with her mother to the tanning salon.
The mother was charged with second degree endangerment but, to this day, she’s still denying she took her girl into the booth with her.
She’s been set up, Krentcil insists in a new interview with ITV, the Daily Mail informs.
Looking as mahogany as ever, Krentcil says she’s no longer a tanorexic. It’s weird being this pale but she’s getting used to it.
“My love of tanning started when I was about 23. Everyone has some form of addictions and I liked to tan – but I never put Anna in the room. But I'm not tanning anymore and I was thinking how stupid it really is,” Krentcil says.
“It's not a booth, it’s a room like what I'm sitting in right now with a tanning table – but she was never in the booth, I don't know how many times I have to say it,” Krentcil insists.
The burns on Ana’s back were from spending half a day at the pool, not wearing sunscreen.
“She had a half a day, she's out in the pool and she's a redhead and had just a little bit of sunburn on her back and if she would have been in a tanning booth it would have been her whole body,” Krentcil explains.
It’s a crying shame she’s taking the fall for it and that no one would hear her side of the story, which also happens to be the truth.
“I was set up in this whole mess – it’s not true. When you ask about justice over here, I don't think there is any – there are liars and it’s very upsetting,” she says.
Oddly enough, while Krentcil insists she’s being set up saying she’s misunderstood and misjudged, she’s definitely dealing with some personal issues: two weeks ago, she made a very drunk appearance at a NYC club, completely embarrassing herself.
