One year ago, Patricia Krentcil earned herself the nickname of Tanning Mom after word got out that she’d taken her 5-year-old daughter to the tanning salon because she thought she looked too “pale.” Today, she’s ok with the tanning bed ban.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is behind the so-called Tan Mom Law, which bans anyone under 17 from using tanning beds in salons without a parent’s approval.

Speaking with TMZ paparazzi, Krentcil reveals she’s happy with the law: first off because she’d never consent to children (let alone her own) getting a tan at a salon, and secondly because she doesn’t tan anymore either.

“I don't think children ever should tan... I believe that it should be something that's spoken about and now it's been rectified after I went through a year of mockery for something I never would do and did not do,” she says.

As you can see in the video below, she insists she’s innocent, that she’d never put her daughter on the tanning bed.
