This latest version features Linux kernel 2.6.32-38

Tango Studio, a complete Live (GNU/LINUX) distribution for musicians and professionals studios based on Ubuntu Lucid 10.04.4, is now at version 1.2.

Tango Studio 1.2, codenamed Karmasutra, provides a suite of applications geared towards music creation. Here are some highlight of this interesting distribution:

· Linux kernel was upgraded to 2.6.32-38, but 3.0.0 and 2.6.33 versions are still available in the repositories; · A bug that affected the Ubiquity installer has been fixed; · The current distribution has fewer audio apps, but the missing ones are still available in the repositories; · Loading of Firewire module required by some chipsets was fixed; · Asunder CD ripper was replaced by Rubyripper; · New audio and MIDI tools are now installed by default; · OpenJDK 6 has been replaced by Sun Java 6; · A new GNOME taskbar, with the 'show desktop' button was added.
