Announced back in November, the new Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD lens is already available in Japan and will be reaching the US market at a price of $1,069 / €780.

For those interested in purchasing this new ultra-telephoto zoom lens, B&H has already listed Tamron's latest lens as available for pre-order, with its shipping date set to January 17, 2014.

As we previously reported, the new Tamron SP 150-600mm comes as a replacement for the company's AF 200-500mm f/5-6.3 Di LD SP FEC (IF) lens in response to customers’ request for a longer focal range ultra-telephoto zoom lens.

The lens comes with Tamron's latest technologies, including: VC (Vibration Compensation), USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive), and eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) Coating that significantly reduces flare and chromatic aberrations.

Wildlife photographers who use an APS-C format camera will be pleased to find out that this lens has an equivalent 35mm focal range of 233mm to 930mm, making it perfect for any shooting conditions.
