Officials state that they have evidence of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev's involvement in a 2011 crime.

The unsolved case deals with a triple homicide. One of his best friends was killed, as were two other men. Marijuana was spread over their bodies when police found them.

The suspect's active part in the crime was apparently confirmed by Ibragim Todashev. Tamerlan's friend was killed during a police interview in May, but he allegedly implicated Tsarnaev beforehand.

According to ABC News, the FBI told surviving brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev about Tamerlan’s crime, which is why the documents are being disclosed. They will be used in the trial against Dzhokhar.

Tamerlan “participated” in the Waltham, Massachusetts murder, according to law enforcement. However, no more details have been made available.
