The virtual world will turn colorful as always

The Tamagotchi Town will be more active than ever, since business there is blooming and over a dozen of shops are moving in. This is the reason Namco Bandai has decided to release the number three in the Corner Shop series and the game is expected to be available for the Nintendo DS consoles this summer.

CS3 will feature 13 new shops to run and, of course, expand, a fully-designable park (which can be visited afterwards), and the possibility to trade journals in the wireless mode. Of course, you will spend most of your time managing your shops in such a way that the customers will always come back for more. It's all 'bout the money, after all. Once the shop related management is done, you can write a journal in your very own park and trade it, as well as other items, with your friends using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Just like any corner shop owner would do.

"Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 emphasizes the responsibilities of running successful businesses in a fun and creative way," said Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Namco Bandai Games America. "With so many new shops, mini-games and Tamagotchis, there is a lot of fun to be had for new and returning players."

So, among the most important features of the game, we have the new shops, such as the Bakery where we'll be able to bake fresh bread (duuh!), the Event Coordinator Shop where we'll be able to design parties, or the Ice Cream Parlor, always ready for some fresh, cold treats. Also, new characters will join the game together with Violetchi, like Kuchipatchi, Mametchi and Memetchi (yeah, you'll probably have some problems remembering these last two names).

So, the graphical delight of the game will be available for people all over the world sometime during this summer. Because the Tamagotchi likes the hot weather, probably.
