Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 is a video game developed by Japanese studio NanaOn-Sha, and published by Namco Bandai everywhere around the world except Europe, where it was released by Atari.
The game was launched on September 27, 2007, in its native Japan, June 17, 2008, in North America, and November 14, 2008, in PAL regions, meaning Europe or the UK.
Just like the first two games in the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series, the third game sees players once again take control of various Tamagotchi creatures from Namco Bandai's hugely successful franchise, and must take care of various shops in order to please customers and make them profitable.
At the beginning of the story, the player can choose between four starting Tamagotchi, called Mametchi, Memetchi, Kutchipatchi and Violetchi.
As opposed to the first two games, Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 brings a much wider range of shops which can be opened by the player and their Tamagotchi partners, ranging from bakeries, spas or ice cream parlors to shops that sell decorations or daycares.
While in the two other Corner Shop games, the player interacted with the princess of the land he was living in, this time, the mayor is the one who advises the players and authorizes any expansions that the player might want to do to his shops.
The princess does appear at the end of the game in order to reward players for their successful business ventures alongside their Tamagotchi, through a special Royal Flag, allowing the player to start managing another shop in the land.
