Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2, or Tamagotchi Connexion: Corner Shop 2, as it is known in Europe, is a video game developed by NanaOn-Sha and published by Namco Bandai exclusively for the Nintendo DS handheld platform, released on July 27, 2006, in its native Japan, November 14, 2006, in North America, and March 23, 2007, in Europe.
Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2, like its name suggests, is part of Namco's hugely successful Tamagotchi line of toys and games, borrowing many characters that were introduced throughout its existence to millions of players from around the world, and the direct sequel to the first Corner Shop which appeared one year before, introducing new animals, new minigames and lots of fresh activities, as opposed to its predecessor.
Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 once again tasks players with taking care of a variety of shops by controlling various Tamagotchi animals. After all of the shops become successful and earn enough "gotchi" virtual currency, Princess Tamako is available as a partner.
While many Tamagotchi return from the first Corner Shop game, some do not, being replaced with all-new creatures, arriving from Tamagotchi Connection V4, Tamagotchi School or Uratama. The three potential partners that can be chosen at the beginning of the game are Memetchi, Kuchipatchi and Mametchi.
