The upcoming Tales of Xillia 2 will allow main character Ludger to move to an alternate world and take on a new form as he battles his enemies.

The mechanics was confirmed in a story in the Japanese magazine Famitsu and the narrative of the game says that the new ability that Ludger has brings him on a collision course with Bizlee, the leader of the Klanspia Company, who asks him to destroy the other world.

During battles, the alternate world appears when a gauge is filled and allowes Ludger to move to the world and take his enemies with him in order to defeat them quicker using a new form.

Tales of Xillia 2 will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in Japan in November of this year.

The first game in the series is now being localized by Namco Bandai and will arrive on Western markets at some point during 2013.
